Very few people understand what it is to have true friends. Regardless of the number of quotes they send you or the amount of time they are able to spend with you ,true friends are people who will always have your back, understand and accept who you truly are, will always make you smile when your feeling down, know from the look on your face that your depressed, open new horizons and make you see the world in a different light, they make you better, they will stand by you during the worst of times and not only for the best of them, and most of all they just make life that much more sweeter to live.
While we are all going about our lives, living and maturing we will all lose and gain many friends. Make and break bonds. Share laughter and tears. But the part that made you friends will always remain.. During the times you felt like you could relax and really be yourself, and you were laughing too much that it brought tears to your eyes, those will be the moments that enrich your life.
I'm one of the lucky few who was able to get to know wonderful people. They made me who I am today. May it be through direct or indirect ways, still they always had an impact. Some may not call me friend anymore but still I hold them close to my heart. They may not know it, but I will always have their back. Sure circumstances have changed and the degree of my friendship with some of them might be limited, still. "May pinagsamahan''
They are family and they are like extensions of who I am. When their sad I'm sad, when they're pissed I'm pissed, when they laugh I laugh. I miss so many of them terribly and I wish that most of the things in life weren't pushing so many of them away, but somethings can't be helped. In the grand scheme of things you can only do so much and then roll with the punches. No matter what, even if we didn't part ways in a good way, I always wish them well.
My friends are my saviours, my angels, my partners in crime, the best of the bunch, my intellectual equals, people who will laugh at the corniest of jokes, opinionated, sometimes rowdy, unique people out there. They made my life brighter... so I dedicate this article to them.
